MANAGING DIRECTOR / CEO 
Our Client, a private limited company is a wholly owned subsidiary of a major listed company in the Oil & Gas sector with it's head office in Karachi, Pakistan. The Company operates a terminal in Karachi with operations & marketing teams across Pakistan. Reporting:
 The position reports to Board of Directors. The position is responsible for directing the company with the objective of providing maximum return on investment, establishing short term and long term objectives, plans and policies and representing the company to its customers, regulator(s) and public.

Qualification: 
Graduate from recognized local/foreign university in Business, Commerce, Financial Management, Accountancy, Engineering or other related discipline. A post graduate degree will be preferred. A membership of recognized professional body is desirable.

Experience: 
Minimum 20 years of post-qualification experience is a pre-requisite out of which at least 10 years should be in a senior management role. Preference shall be given to individuals with prior experience of at least five (5) years in Oil & Gas sector or those who have held a leadership role at any company preferably in the Oil & Gas mid / downstream sectors.

Age: 
Candidate should not exceed 62 years.

Skills & Competencies 

  1. Management experience in a leadership role, comfortable operating at the Board level with exceptional communication and people skills and a proven ability to provide inspirational leadership for the organization. 
  2. Analytical, intellectually robust and commercially astute, able to work with the Board to develop and articulate clear strategic options, evaluate potential outcomes and plan, effective implementation with a clear focus on delivery. 
  3. Deep understanding of regulatory, commercial, political and security environment in which the company operates. Ability to engage effectively with public institutions, stakeholders and joint venture partners. 
  4. The incumbent should be well aware with various applicable regulatory frameworks. 
  5. Must have entrepreneurial approach for resolving problems and must be able to take high level decisions independently. 
  6. Demonstrated experience of successfully leading and managing significant organizational change.
